Hoover Dam Charitable Plates 

Just in case you haven't heard, we have our own charitable plate! Proceeds help support tourism in and around Hoover Dam which includes Boulder City. Grab your plate during your next renewal! 

Best Dam Wine Walks are back! 

We are headed into our biggest season for Wine Walks! October is coming up with our annual Costume Walk. Last month we welcomed a lot of new comers who hadn't heard of our event before, bringing new eyes to our small business community. Attendees stroll through some historic downtown merchants sipping on wine, networking, and shopping. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. The rest of the 2022-2023 season is posted now on our website! 

Special Advertising Opportunity with Highway Radio

The Chamber has partnered with Highway Radio (Highway Country, The Vibe, DRIVE Highway Rock) to provide a unique advertising opportunity for our businesses. The Chamber will match your advertising investment, making radio advertising affordable. Your ad will run for 6 weeks on 7 frequencies, resulting 420 spots that your business will be featured in. Our partnership is running February through June and we didn't want you to miss out on the opportunity for this spectacular deal.

We did a big partnership with Channel 8 a few years ago and several of our businesses took advantage of the deal. Feedback was overly positive, in fact so positive that it allowed Fox BBQ to build out their current location. So when done right, radio and TV advertising can bring more business in your doors. 

Workforce Connections Survey Available

The Boulder City Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Nevada’s Governor’s Office of Workforce Innovation (GOWINN) and other local, private business groups to conduct a survey that will allow our state to generate a transparent, publicly available career and training program asset inventory database - an approach to a complex process and a step in the right direction to support Nevada.

To the point, in today's competitive marketplace, knowing what training resources are available to create a skilled workforce is critical to our collective success as a state.

Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey, which inquiries about your program focus, services and more so that it may be included within Nevada’s Workforce Inventory. Your input will be posted to GOWINN’s website, via a publicly available dashboard, to support Nevada’s workforce measures. 

SHARE YOUR PROGRAM ON THE NV WEBSITE TODAY - Responses due March 1

Results from this survey are intended to inform:

Residents about public and private career and training opportunities available to them - thereby assisting our state with workforce needs.

Existing/new employers about available training programs in which they can support by employing graduates, certificate holders, and more.

The Chamber is eager to know and share with you a snapshot of what our region is doing to support the talent pipeline helping to enhance our community resiliency. Respondents will receive a notification once the dashboard goes live in Q2 2023.

Rural Roundup 2023 April 11-13 Mesquite, NV

The Nevada Rural Roundup event brings together members of our tourism industry representing Nevada diverse, lodging properties, attractions, destination marketing organizations, tour operators, transportation companies, convention and visitors’ bureaus, chambers of commerce, the media and others interested in the tourism industry. The conference line up currently includes thought provoking educational , panels of industry experts and business speakers ready to share their insights and innovations with the Nevada tourism industry. Alliance for Religious Freedom and Human Dignity Sponsoring Symposium

A newly formed interfaith group, the Las Vegas Alliance for Religious Freedom and Human Dignity, is sponsoring a symposium, "Dignity in Diversity: Why Religious Freedom and Human Dignity Matter." The event will be held Thursday, March 23 from 1:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV Thomas & Mack Moot Court Building.All community members are invited, with the hope to deepen commitment to religious freedom and promote civil discourse in the Greater Las Vegas area.
