Maybe you've heard of Cause Tourism, Regenerative Tourism, or Sustainable Tourism? The future of tourism means being more thoughtful about tourism promotion by the destination and the activities of the guest while in the community. Regenerative travel is about working to actively improve a place. It prioritizes the regeneration and protection of areas over mass tourism, and ensures we’re leaving a destination intact for years to come.
We want to invite you to be a part of the future travel and tourism by considering the inclusion of time in your itinerary for a little trash pick up, service work with a local non-profit, or planting of new trees. Please call the Chamber office for more suggestions if you do not see something here that strikes your fancy. 702.293.2034

MISSION STATEMENT
We support the Nevada State Railroad Museum at Boulder City, Nevada, and its programs for the education and benefit of the public and Museum visitors through donations, staffing, maintenance, operation, construction and restoration of historic railroad equipment and models.
Volunteers Needed
The museum, like most non-profit organizations, needs more help. One of the Friends’ main tasks is to staff the weekend excursion trains. It’s fun, but it’s also work. We have volunteer opportunities – see the list below:
If you can help, contact me at President@nevadasouthern.com, or come out on a Saturday or Sunday and talk to us. The ticket office staff will direct you to someone who can answer your questions.

Emergency Aid of Boulder City provides food, rental, and utility assistance as well as other additional needs. To request assistance, one must show residency in Boulder City for at least 30 days. Other needs require proof of residency for six months. There are stranded travelers occasionally needing food and have other special requests. EABC is staffed entirely by an "ALL VOLUNTEER" collection of people and relies strictly on grants and private donations from residents and organizations - much thanks to our Boulder City community!

Christ Lutheran has partnered with Bethany Baptist Church to provide a safe place for elementary students to complete their distance learning while their parents are at work. A majority of our students are kindergarten and first graders; however, we do have some older students with special needs that would benefit from one on one help. We are looking for volunteers to read to these students and assist them in completing their homework packets. We are open 8am to 3pm each day, but a bulk of the help is needed between 9am-11am and 12pm to 2pm. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check. Please contact Jessica at (949) 838-5769 if you would like to help.
