Hoover Dam Charitable Plates 

Just in case you haven't heard, we have our own charitable plate! Proceeds help support tourism in and around Hoover Dam which includes Boulder City. Grab your plate during your next renewal! 

Best Dam Wine Walks are dark until September 2023!

We've had our best first half of the season yet! We've welcomed tourists and visitors from all over southern Nevada and neighboring states. This year seemed to be a LOT of folks that were hanging out and stumbled upon our event, decided to participate, and had a great time. We hope you enjoyed some extra traffic and have turned some first timers into regulars. We can't wait to get back to it in September. The Chamber has partnered with Highway Radio (Highway Country, The Vibe, DRIVE Highway Rock) to provide a unique advertising opportunity for our businesses. The Chamber will match your advertising investment, making radio advertising affordable. Your ad will run for 6 weeks on 7 frequencies, resulting 420 spots that your business will be featured in. Our partnership is running February through June and we didn't want you to miss out on the opportunity for this spectacular deal.

We did a big partnership with Channel 8 a few years ago and several of our businesses took advantage of the deal. Feedback was overly positive, in fact so positive that it allowed Fox BBQ to build out their current location. So when done right, radio and TV advertising can bring more business in your doors. 

Inaugural Best of Boulder City is LIVE

Winners announced on the Spring Jamboree Main Stage during the event May 6-7! 

All Chamber members have been nominated as part of the Best of Boulder City 2023 awards program. Your business is a community favorite! If your business is not currently an investor with the Chamber, your business has a nominal fee of $50 to complete your business listing. If you would like more information on joining the Chamber as an investor to claim your free Best of Boulder City nomination, reach out to Madison at the Chamber office. 

As part of the Best of Boulder City, you have the opportunity to claim your listing. By doing so, you can customize your messaging and make sure you encourage people to support you. After all, the Best of Boulder City is decided by community vote.

You also have access to a leader dashboard so you can see how you rank against the competition. Who doesn’t want the bragging rights of being the best in Boulder City this year?

BC Fire Department Launches Free Online Tool for Residents and Businesses

When there is an emergency in your home, seconds count, and information can mean the difference between life and death. Boulder City Fire Department (BCFD) has activated a new online tool - Community Connect - to help firefighters better prepare when responding to emergencies. Residents and businesses can benefit from this tool by simply signing up to participate. 

Residents can provide details about their home, family, children, pets, medical/functional needs and more, so that when the fire department is dispatched to an emergency, they have the most information as possible before arriving on scene. This information allows them to change their approach before they arrive on scene, so they can best meet the specific needs of a family or business. Residents can provide where they store medications, how many people live in the home, and even if there are pets in the home. Business owners can provide details about their property and set up text notification if the department responds to an emergency at the business.

The City of Boulder City seeking volunteers for Accessible BC - Help Boulder City achieve better than ADA compliance and join the Accessible BC working group for better accessibility for all. Volunteers are needed to help develop recommendations to improve accessibility and useability for City-owned buildings parks, projects and infrastructure, like sidewalks. If you would like to volunteer your time for this important work, open the flyer for instructions on how you can sign up.
