Free Grow with Google Workshop for Nevada Small Businesses

Lieutenant Governor Lisa Burkhead and the Nevada Office of Small Business Advocacy is sponsoring a free workshop on Wednesday, July 27 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

This “Reach Customers Online with Google” workshop will teach small business owners how they can be found online with Google Search and how to improve their website’s visibility with Search Engine Optimizations (SEO). The workshop will last 1 hour and will be led by a Grow with Google professional trainer, Israel Serna. Nevada Lieutenant Governor Burkhead will provide opening remarks before the workshop to small business owners. Lastly, we will also feature a brief question and answer period for small business owners to ask the professional trainer questions.

Geoff Baughman Farmers Insurance Agency Hosting School Supply Drive

School starts in three weeks! Can you help Geoff and his staff gather school supplies? Giving back with school supplies is an easy way to help our community and make a difference. It's a great way to help the teachers and ensure kids have what they need to kick off the school year. Stop by Geoff's office at 410 Nevada Way Ste 180 from 8-5 Monday through Friday to deliver your donations. 

Ruben's Woodcraft and Toys hosting Young Entrepreneurs Market July 23

Ruben and Dixie Valdez from Ruben's kicked off their Young Entrepreneur's Market on July 9 welcoming several young entrepreneurs selling their crafts. Booths included homemade jewelry, knitted items, art, and more all from young makers and crafters. The next Young Entrepreneurs Market is July 23 from 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Stop by, shop, and support these young small business owners!

Not only are they learning how to make their items, but these young small business owners are learning critical social, business, and interpersonal skills that will carry them for a lifetime. Big thank you to Ruben and Dixie for being innovators and supporting creative minds, small business, and the community! 

Quarterly Business Survey Results from UNLV

The UNLV Center for Business and Economic Research quarterly survey results are available. This business confidence survey contains Nevada's economic outlook from the lens of small business owners and experts. Surveys are sent out quarterly to gather the thoughts and feedback of Nevada's small business owners. Make sure you stay tuned to the newsletter if you would like to participate! 

Poet's Walk Memory Care to hold an Alzheimers Free Lunch and Learn

This event is limited and is NOT a sales event. Enjoy a free prime rib lunch at Boulder Creek and guest speaker Amy Moore Peterson as she talks about what Alzheimers looks like, how it impacts families and communities, and what resources are available. Amy facilitates a support group for Alzheimer's caregivers and another for those that are grieving. RSVP by calling Poet's Walk at 702-899-8028.
