*CRITICAL* New Beneficial Ownership Information Required for Most Businesses
In 2021, Congress enacted the Corporate Transparency Act which creates a beneficial ownership information as part of the U.S. government's attempt to make close loop holes in the business sector. This law helps to identify business persons who try to hide or benefit from gains through shell companies or other opaque ownership structures.
As of January 1, 2024, most all businesses including sole owned LLCs and Corporations are required to file the Beneficial Ownership Information with the Federal Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Existing businesses have until January 1, 2025 to file their information while brand new businesses formed after January 1, 2024 will have 30 days to file their information.
There are some businesses that are exempt and you can find more about how to get the Beneficial Ownership Information filed for your business HERE. Small businesses can also monitor FinCEN's website.
How Social Media Influencers Impact Boulder City
Chances are if you're visiting the Coffee Cup, you may see someone with their phone or a video camera filming themselves and talking to their screen. They are more than likely a social media influencer sharing their experience with their followers all around the world. Influencers are the new word of mouth marketing and can have a positive impact on your business.
The Chamber fields calls and visitors from influencers frequently thanks to the network of partnerships with various travel organizations. Influencers reach out to get an idea of things to do and places to visit in Boulder City. They sometimes already have an idea of where they want to go, but the Chamber helps to direct them to high places of interest.
Here are some stats on recent visits from influencers:
Thrillist - Enjoy Small Town Nevada Just 30 Minutes Outside Las Vegas
Men's Journal - The Perfect 3-Day Weekend in Las Vegas: Bright Lights, Desert Adventure, and Super Bowl Mania
Bike Mag - Destination: Las Vegas, NV
These combined blogger articles had over 14,000,000 impressions on the web and mentioned several of our local Boulder City businesses. We are grateful for these vloggers and bloggers who highlight Boulder City so others can appreciate the beauty and serenity the way we do!
