*CRITICAL* New Beneficial Ownership Information Required for Most Businesses
In 2021, Congress enacted the Corporate Transparency Act which creates a beneficial ownership information as part of the U.S. government's attempt to make close loop holes in the business sector. This law helps to identify business persons who try to hide or benefit from gains through shell companies or other opaque ownership structures.
As of January 1, 2024, most all businesses including sole owned LLCs and Corporations are required to file the Beneficial Ownership Information with the Federal Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). Existing businesses have until January 1, 2025 to file their information while brand new businesses formed after January 1, 2024 will have 30 days to file their information.
There are some businesses that are exempt and you can find more about how to get the Beneficial Ownership Information filed for your business HERE. Small businesses can also monitor FinCEN's website.

Thank you to all of our Wine Walk Merchants for another successful year!
From the desk of Jill Lagan, CEO
Just a quick little recap and a quick BIG thank you for another successful season at Best Dam Wine Walk.
From September 2023 to April 2024, there were 2731 total walkers and many uncounted designated walkers (it is hard to keep count of the kids in wagons!). Due to this single event held nine times a year, we are looking at an economic infusion into Boulder City of over $275,000 seasonally. This is a huge increase over our first year, when there were just 588 participants in the 2016-17 season.
This is largely due to your participation, great customer service, and fun and inviting themed space. We hear such great comments on the themes and how each of the businesses engages with the themes each month.
As we take the summer to prepare for the next season, we have a great team planning for you based on your feedback. We will have some changes for next season and will share that information at our annual merchants' meeting in August. Stay tuned for that meeting date, time, and place.
Thank you for playing a key role in making the Best Dam Wine Walk an annual success. Have a great summer, and we'll see you in August!
